Description
I bought these 1990's from a friend. These came from his great grandparents or grandparents home,in the older part of Fort Worth, Texas close to college Ave. There was a college there along time ago.
These were on a library book case shelve. You could use these as windows.
They probably had a light inside which made the colors stand out.
This was an old Victorian home. The house has long been torn down along time ago,
but these were saved from it.
They are in very good shape for there age. The glass is the old antique wavy kind .
There are a few small pieces of glass
that are cracked but still in place.... The hinges are embossed with a design.
The colors are red, blue yellow, marble looking orange yellow cream color, very light tan I guess you would call it,
and one color that reminds me of root beer but not as dark,
and some small clear very thick beveled around the edge in different designs.
You can see some white residue around some of the lead, it is residue from the lead.
The frame is put together by mortise and tenon joints and dowels.
If you look at the picture where they are standing next to each other
look at the top of the frame and you can see the dowels.
I have to do pick up on these . They are heavy and don't want anything to happen to the glass.
