Description
ANTIQUE STAINED LEADED GLASS MANSION WINDOW, from a railroad boss house, 1890.This is a large window which was removed from a mansion in central Pennsylvania, in a railroad industry area. House was built in 1890.
EXACT AGE OF THE WINDOW IS UNKNOWN.
Window measures approximately:
35" wide, by about 37" tall
Glass only area measurements:
34.5" by about 30.5" wide
Frame is about 1" thick, excluding the ledge
which is 2 3/8"
Photos:
#5 and #6 show the small ledge at the bottom
(or top) of the window frame.
I SEE NO CRACKS WHATSOEVER, THERE ARE SOME IMPERFECTIONS IN THE GLASS, WHICH AUTHENTICATES THE AGE.
FRAME IS SOLID, BUT LOOKS MORE MODERN THAN THE WINDOW. WINDOW HAS 3 IRON SUPPORTS. WINDOW IS IN GREAT SHAPE FOR AGE, IT'S NOT BOWED AND IS RELATIVELY TIGHT.
