This high performance compression shirt with Heart-Gard sewn in is designed to help prevent injury from ball impact to the center of the chest. The shirt is made of 80-85% Nylon/15-20% Lycra and is designed to be worn snug to the body for proper positioning of the Heart guard dome.  The  Heart-Gard protective pad is a tough, high density polyethylene dome that absorbs impact energy and spreads it out over a 700% larger area. The Heart guard protective dome measures approximately 6" x 6".  When the Markwort Heart Gard protective Body Shirt is worn under the uniform it is virtually invisible and does not restrict movement of the athlete. It is comfortable and cool, so the athlete forgets that they are wearing it.
