Description

This striking pair of lovely gothic revival/arts and crafts stained, painted and leaded glass panels features rich gothic palette of both pale and deep jewel tones with hand painted details that have been fired on in the manner of ancient gothic panels.  Each measures 35" x 14 1/4" wide and are reverse image/true pair design with some variation in the design of the outer borders.  Excerpted from a large window which had suffered damage due to vandalism, they are fairly sound with stable leading showing minimal weakness.  They need to be cleaned and re-puttied/sealed and should have frames for display.  Each panel has some cracked glass (no voids): 3 cracked pieces in one side with a spider crack in the blue leaf upper left and 2 cracked pieces with a stable crack in the corresponding blue leaf.
