    Additional information:
To International buyers: Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up. Please do not confuse them for additional shipping charges. We do not mark merchandise values below the sold price or mark items as "gifts" - US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.
    And:
Please keep in mind, I mostly sell used items. Therefore, the item may have some minor signs of use I think are not worth mentioning. I will always mention, in my description above, anything major that I find whether it is damage or a manufacturing flaw. If you have specific questions in that regard, please ask! I will be happy to give you more detailed information.

    Payment
Payment is due within 5 days from close of this sale.

    Shipping
For the most part, I use Priority and First Class Mail for lighter weight items and for items that may not require a box but can be shipped in an envelope. For heavier items, I will ship via UPS (if shipped within the continental US) or USPS Parcel Select. To save time, I estimate the size and weight of the packaged item and may estimate a little high. If the shipping and insurance cost you paid ends up being more than a rounding error, I do send refunds back to your Paypal account. If I underestimate, I do NOT request additional funds.
    An additional note about insurance:
Ebay policies state that making sure that your purchase arrives safely in your hands is the seller's responsibility. While I agree this is actually a very good policy to ensure confidence in making a purchase on Ebay, it has resulted in making insurance a requirement for every sale. Insurance is included in the shipping and handling cost for all items shipped within the United States. All items whose value goes above 0.00 and whose winner is outside of the United States will be shipped via USPS Insured Priority Mail.
    Why "Fancy Endeavours"?
The name "Fancy Endeavours" came to me as I searched for ways to convey my love for the art and products of human enterprise in a smaller, easy to remember title. From music, architecture, and paintings, to ceramics, jewelry, modes of transportation, clothing and accessories, to the little gadgets you see in "As Seen on TV" ads and everything in between; the things we create and have created in the past to make our lives easier and more beautiful are evidence of free human endeavor and a tangible connection to man's history of advancement.
My previous eBay name "savvy*spyglass*treasures" was inspired by my U.S. Navy experience, love of all things nautical, and by the popularity of "Pirates of the Caribbean" Disneyland ride and the movies. In this name change to "fancyendeavours", I deliberately am using the British spelling version of "endeavor" as homage to the HMS Endeavour, flagship of Lord Cutler Beckett of the East India Trading Company, in the Pirates movies.
It has become fashionable by some to be disdainful (envious) of the creativity of others....to the point of wishing to eliminate it and turning "profit" into a dirty word. This disturbing trend can not, no, will not survive. I wish to do my part to celebrate and remind anyone who does happen upon my little corner of the internet that without man's creativity, our lives would be bleak and hard beyond imagining. And, really, why shouldn't these talented and creative people, and those that come after, profit from their efforts? The things I am offering for sale here on eBay may or may not all be beautiful or Fancy. However, they were made by their creators for the purpose and intention of making lives (
theirs and ours) easier and/or more beautiful. I passionately adore free enterprise in all its forms. I hope you will enjoy these offerings of "Fancy Endeavours" and what they represent!
"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.” - C. S. Lewis (November 29, 1898 - November 22, 1968)
"The urge to save humanity is always a false front for the urge to rule it." – H. L. Mencken (September 12, 1880 – January 29, 1956)
“Did you really think that we want those laws to be observed? . . . .We want them broken. You’d better get it straight that it’s not a bunch of boy scouts that you’re up against – and then you’ll know that this is not the age for beautiful gestures. We’re after power and we mean it. . . . . There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What’s there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced nor objectively interpreted – and you create a nation of lawbreakers – and then you cash in on the guilt. Now that’s the system, . . . that’s the game, and once you understand it, you’ll be much easier to deal with.” - Floyd Ferris to Hank Reardon in Atlas Shrugged, by Ayn Rand (February 2, 1905 to March 6, 1982)
"I will not cede more power to the state. I will not willingly cede more power to anyone, not to the state, not to General Motors, not to the CIO. I will hoard my power like a miser, resisting every effort to drain it away from me. I will then use my power as I see fit. I mean to live my life an obedient man, but obedient to God, subservient to the wisdom of my ancestors; never to the authority of political truths arrived at yesterday at the voting booth.” - William F. Buckley (November 24, 1925 – February 27, 2008)
"Political language is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind." - George Orwell (25 June 1903 – 21 January 1950)
