    Description

This auction is for a great vintage WW1 era jacket, I believe it to be a jacket used by the American Field Service as I found the American Field Service patch inside front chest pocket. Some signs of square patches or something on the sleeves, maybe a medic-like insignia was there. Great cotton material, can see selvedge edge down the middle inside. The plaid cotton piping around inside arm holes are a really neat detail. Only markings are a large "12" stamped inside and some other stamps that are tough to read. Could be European made, not sure! Great shape, two decent wear spots inside collar/neck area, one on each side. Also one epaulet button is worn. No tag size. Measures in at 20.5" pit to pit, 25.5" shoulder seam to end of sleeve, 31.5" length from neck seam down center back, and 19.75" shoulder to shoulder. Thanks and good luck bidding!
