WWI Army USMC leather jerkin vest uniform blouse tunic size 40!

Description

This is an absolutely gorgeous original leather jerkin from WWI in a nice larger size 40. The leather is in spectacular condition, no tears or holes and not dark. Hasn't been oiled or overly conditioned and the original light russet leather color is fantastic. Light storage age mainly. There are some slight depressions on the back from where it rested on top of another uniform with buttons in a trunk for many years. These depressions will go away I am sure. They don't detract anyway. The blanket lining is very nice and it has its original tag (small separation but it is all there) marking it to maker FBQ Clothing Co., Size 3 which is a breast size 40 and so marked. All original matching buttons, they look vegetable made and are fantastic with no cracks or breaks that I can see. Just a very fine original leather Jerkin that is going on 125 years old! Measurements are seam to seam along the bottom 24 inches, shoulder seam to bottom 27 inches and should end to shoulder end 16 inches.
