    Description

This one turned up out of thrift (of course!) and a picker friend thankfully reached out after he snagged it.  I paid him well, and it hung in my uniform closet for a couple years - but I bought 2 uniforms last month and well...the closet was already full!
I cannot find a name anywhere in it, and it looks like the contract tag is missing from the lining hem, its not in the pockets either.  No idea who made it.  Collars show it belonged to a guy in one of the MGBs Company A.  The 30's pin was in the pocket when found, and seems aviation related - no idea if the guy was in a club or where that came from.  There are numerous holes on the coat, at the back shoulder there appear to be a couple the result of a too-short hanger for too long.  The left sleeve has a hole below the elbow, and there is red paint on the backside of that sleeve as well (note its on the edges of the hole, and also on the edges of the OS stripes).  I can only speculate that he got some paint on the sleeve painting his helmet with that red arrow - that helmet of course
    wasn't
found in thrift! There are also a few small holes to the front, and a small neat period repaired hole/snag on the right shoulder.  This was probably the coat he wore home from German occupation.
Nice honest coat that I hate to see go, but have to make room for the collection somehow!
