    Description

    Right before the war US
    Military Police wore a 2 inch long piece of scarlet cloth under their US collar insignia on both sides. After the war started many new collar insignia was authorized for the growing number of new specialties.
    The H disc was then authorized for Military Police (I do not know why the letter H was used). Later, Headquarters units begin wearing the insignia although other insignia was authorized for them. After armistice the Military Police insignia was changed to MP.
